Team India have reached England for ICC Champions Trophy, but has not played one-day cricket for the past four months. Team India are returning from T20 cricket, but there is a lot of difference in this and one-dayer. In such a situation, they have to find them perfect for ODIs. In this episode, team India have to play the first practice match against New Zealand on Sunday. Fast bowler Mohammad Shami and off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin are returning to the squad after injury. This match is an opportunity for them to test themselves and improve their shortcomings.

Team India played their last ODI against England on Indian soil in January. In such a situation, they are away from ODIs for almost four months. Not only this, in the meantime they had to suffer from the injury of Rohit Sharma, Mohammed Shami and R Ashwin. Although Shami and Rohit got the opportunity to play in the IPL but Ashwin remained completely out. Since this match is not official, all the 15 members of the team will get a chance to play. Everybody will be eyeing Ashwin, Shami and Rohit. Ashwin is returning after a two-month break.

In the middle-order, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh and Kedar Jadhav will also try to gain confidence before the match against Pakistan on June 4.
