Indian captain Virat Kohli scored the highest score of his Test career (254 not out) against South Africa on Friday. With this, he also broke the record of Australia’s great batsman Dan Bradman to score most 150 plus score as a captain in international cricket.
Kohli as the Indian captain has scored nine 150 plus score, one more than Bradman. He did this feat eight times in his career. Michael Clarke of Australia, Mahela Jayawardene of Sri Lanka, Brian Lara of West Indies and Graeme Smith of South Africa are in joint third place having scored more than 150 as captain seven times.
Kohli also equaled former Australia captain Ricky Ponting’s record for most centuries as a Test captain. Kohli and Ponting now have 19 centuries as Test captains. This is Kohli’s 26th century in Test cricket while this is his first Test century this year.
