India set 550 runs target for the Sri Lanka to win the Galle Test. The Indian team declared the innings after scoring 240 runs on the fourth day of the match. Captain Virat Kohli 103 and Ajinkya Rahane 23 remained unbeaten. The Indian team announced their innings when the 17th century of Captain Kohli’s career was completed.
The Indian team made a huge score of 600 runs in their first innings with the brilliant centuries of Sikhar Dhawan & Cheteswar Pujara. In reply, Sri Lanka were dismissed for 291 runs . Dilruwan Perera scored an unbeaten 92, Angelo Mathews scored 83 and Upul Tharanga scored 64, but other batsmen were failed.
