India won by 4 wickets in the final of the Nidahas T-20 Tri Series played in Colombo between India and Bangladesh. India’s Dinesh Karthik gave victory to Team India by putting a six on the last ball of the match in this exciting match. Indian team captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, Bangladesh scored 166 runs with the help of stunning half-century by Shabbir Rahman by losing 8 wickets in 20 over.

Chasing the target of 167 runs for victory, India’s first wicket was taken by Shakib Al Hasan in the form of Sikhar Dhawan. Dhawan scored 10 runs. After that Suresh Raina also got caught by wicket-keeper Rahim on the bowling of Rubel Hossain without opening his account. Lokesh Rahul scored 24 runs off 14 balls and made a crucial partnership of 51 runs with Rohit Sharma. Captain Rohit Sharma scored 56 runs and then got out on the bowling of Nazmul Islam. The match was shifted towards Bangladesh after the wicket of Rohit Sharma. But it was Dinesh Karthik who gave victory to Team India.

India needed 34 runs in last 2 overs. Dinesh Karthik was on strike and he scored 22 runs in the 19th over. The game was still alive and 12 runs were required in the final over. Vijay Shanker was facing the first ball of the final over. He missed the first ball and it was a dot ball. But fortunately he gave strike to Dinesh Karthik. Dinesh Karthik then took a single on the very next ball. In the end 5 runs were required on the final ball of the match and it was Dinesh Karthik facing the final ball. It was an over pitch ball and Dinesh Karthik played lofted shot over extra cover for six to win the match and the tournament.
