ICC test ranking July 2018

ICC Test rankings were released after the Sri Lanka-South Africa Test Series and before India-England Test Series. Top five batsmen in the Test rankings are retained in their place as before.

Australian batsman Steve Smith is on the first place in the rankings while Virat Kohli and Joe Root are at second and third positions. Kane Williamson and David Warner are on 4th and 5th position. Sri Lankan batsman Dinesh Chandimal has jumped one place and he has moved to the eighth position while Eden Markam and Dean Elgar have slipped to ninth and tenth positions respectively.

In the ranking of Test bowlers, James Anderson has jumped one place and he became the number one bowler. He will start his campaign against India as the world’s number one Test bowler. Kagiso Rabada of South Africa has now moved to second place. India’s spinner Ravindra Jadeja is third in the rankings while Philander and Ashwin are fourth and fifth positions.
