Kohli breaks Tendulkar’s record

Kohli has scored 18 centuries in 102 innings

The captain of the Indian cricket team will rarely disappoint the bat in his hand, that’s why he is called a run machine. When it comes to chasing a target set by a team, there is no better batsman than Kohli.

The Indian captain had equaled Sachin’s record of 17 hundreds while chasing a target in ODI matches. He batted superbly against the West Indies at Sabina Park in Kingston, raising his 28th Test century in the ODIs on Thursday. He broke the record of Sachin’s 17 centuries while chasing the target.

However, when we compare the records of Sachin and Virat, the difference is shocking. Kohli has scored 18 centuries in 102 innings while Tendulkar had to play 232 innings for 17 centuries. Apart from this, Kohli has become the first Indian captain who has scored two centuries against the West Indies in the Caribbean. Earlier, Rahul Dravid had scored a century as a captain against the West Indies. Overall, this is Kohli’s fourth century against the West Indies.

The West Indies, batting first, scored 205 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs. In reply Team India chased the target in 36.5 overs. Captain Kohli remained unbeaten on 111 runs with 12 fours and 2 sixes. In this way, India took the series 3-1.
