Ravindra Jadeja retains top position, Virat stays 5th position in ICC Test Rankings

Team India leg-spinner Ravindra Jadeja has retained his top position in the list of bowlers in the ICC Test rankings released on Tuesday. Ravichandran Ashwin is at second place in bowling. Talking about batting rankings, Virat Kohli is placed at fifth position, Cheteshwar Pujara is at 4th position, while opener Shikhar Dhawan has reached 39th place.

Australian captain Steve Smith is at the top of the batting list, followed by England captain Joe Root (2nd) and New Zealand captain Ken Williamson (3rd). Talking about bowlers, Ravichandran Ashwin has taken over Sri Lanka’s captain Rangana Herath and he is at second position. Herath is at third place.

England all-rounder Ben Stokes is at joint 25th place in the rankings for batsmen, while in the rankings of the bowlers, he is at 19th position. He has taken over Vernon Philander of South Africa to get the fifth position in the all-rounders’ list. This latest ranking has been released after India won the first Test against Sri Lanka in Galle by 304 runs and England won the third Test against South Africa by 239 runs.
