The third and final Test being played between India and Sri Lanka became extremely special for Hardik Pandya. Pandya scored the first century of his Test career in this Test match. He scored his first international hundred on just 86 balls. Pandya faced 86 balls to score his first century of his career and he hit 7 fours and 7 sixes for this big achievement. Pandya shared a 17-runs partnership with Saha. After this he added 62 runs with Kuldeep Yadav and then 20 runs with Mohammad Shami. In the end Pandya shared a 66-run partnership with Umesh Yadav.
Pandya scored 26 runs in an over of Milinda Pushpakumara in the 116th over of Indian innings. He hit two fours on the first two balls and then hit 3 big sixes on the next 3 balls. The last ball of the over was a dot ball. In this way, he smashed Milinda Pushpakumara, who dominated Indian batsmen and grabbed three wickets on the first day.
This series became memorable for Hardik Pandya. In the same series he got an opportunity to play his first Test at Galle’s ground and in the first innings of that Test, he scored his first half-century of his Test career. Now he has made first test century of his international career in his third Test.
