India won the series of five matches, not only by 4-1, but Team India again become No. 1 in the rankings for ODIs.
Rohit Sharma was the Man of the Match while Hardik Pandya was declared Man of the Series for his double performance. In the five-match series, Rohit Sharma scored 296 runs, including one century and two half-centuries. Australia’s Aaron Finch finished second in the run-scoring he scored 250 runs in three matches. David Warner scored 245 in five matches, Ajinkya Rahane scored 244 runs in five matches and Hardik Pandya scored 222 runs in the same matches. Hardik also took six wickets in addition to this.
In bowling, Nathan Coulter-Nile of Australia was the only player to take 10 wickets in the series. He got these wickets by an average of 23. Kane Richardson of Australia and Kuldeep Yadav of India were at the second place with 7-7 wickets. India’s Yuzwendra Chahal and Hardik Pandya took 6-6 wickets while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jaspreet Bumrah got 5-5 wickets. Kuldeep, Chahal, Bhubaneswar and Bumrah, all these four bowlers played four-four matches. Australia’s Richardson took seven wickets in three matches.
